About

Hi! I’m Karen, a human being and solo parent excited to share the practices I’ve been cultivating for years – the ones that have helped me maintain resilience and positivity during both the crazy hard and wonderful times I’ve experienced the last few decades.

During that time I’ve been stone-cold broke, and I’ve been flush and comfortable; I’ve been incredibly connected with my son, and so disconnected I didn’t know how we would repair our relationship. I’ve been the unhealthiest and least energetic I’ve ever been in my life, and I’ve been rested, content, able to bike for miles, and practice yoga and go to the gym every day. Through it all, I’ve kept up my practices of meditation and gratitude, as well as many other strategies I’d like to share and support others in practicing (which keeps me going, too!).

Some more stuff about me:

  • Ordained minister through American Marriage Ministries, an interfaith organization
  • Certified in Mental Health First Aid
  • Certified Hasya (Laughter) Yoga Leader
  • Qigong 200-hour Level 1 Teacher Training student
    (2026 certification completion date)
  • Master of Journalism, Temple University
  • BA, Economics & Africana Studies, Cornell University

I look forward to connecting with you for a warmline call, Grateful Gathering, or Gratitude Breakfast Club offering.

Sending you lots of love!
